Master Vending

Vending operations happen across many places at once. Stock leaves a warehouse, travels in a vehicle, reaches a machine and returns as servicing and collection records. Every handoff changes what the next person needs to know.

Master Vending brings those steps into one operational system. The design challenge was to make a complex physical workflow legible to the people responsible for each part.

The application connects warehouse stock, vehicle stock, machine layouts, assigned routes and collections. These are parts of a single sequence, with shared information across the operation.

A clear workflow model helps the interface show what is ready, what has happened and what needs attention. The accompanying diagram explains that structure without exposing operational records.

Field operators need an experience organised around assigned work. Servicing a machine, recording consumption and reporting a collection should fit the order in which the work actually happens.

The product separates that focused experience from the broader planning tools used by administrators. Each role has the context required to act, while remaining connected to the same operation.

Administrators coordinate machines, routes and exceptions, while warehouse staff work with stock requirements and fulfilment. Those responsibilities call for different views of the same underlying information.

Consistent states and role-aware access help the team understand where work stands. The aim is a system people can use to follow the operation through its next handoff.

Stock movements, machine counters, collections and coin records are treated as connected workflows. Transactional database operations support consistency when the physical work updates the system.

Reporting brings those records together for review and reconciliation. The case study presents the product structure and creative direction using illustrative material, with no customer data or financial results shown.
